3rd time here at The Tarntawan. Ok it's not the Ritz. Hotel is older and could do with an upgrade. Rooms are clean and a fair size. Beds really comfortable. Food is quite good. Staff are the most friendly you will get. Located near Pat Pong Street Market and Shenanigans pub. It's inexpensive and like I said it's not the Ritz but I will be back for sure. Worth it for the money.
Quiet, convenient, slow AC
Convenient: close to night market, restaurants, gay bars, and centrally located. Quiet: set back from the main road Clean and spacious
Friendly staff
AC on the 8th floor in our room is so slow to cool the room. Takes 8 hours or more to gradually cool the room. Pro-tip: detach the key from the room card so you can leave the AC running all day (but don’t change the temp too much when you leave because it takes forever to cool back down)
Breakfast is simple, but there are so many good, inexpensive treats nearby anyway.
Overall, highly recommended stay.
Quite old hotel. Staff are nice, rooms are big, bed is comfortable. Breakfast is very basic level.
Physical : old hotel setting, Ac is terribly not working well (not good)
Service : they have safety and security SOP that is really violating against guests privacy.
I suspect knowing that this hotel has huge magnet for negative things.
With this price point better to stay in other hotels - not recommended (coming from more than 10 years work in 5 star international chain hotel)
The Tarntawan hasn’t changed much, if at all, over the many years I’ve been coming here, which for me, is a massive USP. ||The rooms are tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean, and the beds are the most comfortable I’ve slept in during …
This is an old-school hotel with personalized service. The location is excellent, slightly off the main road so it's very quiet. The rooms are adequate and clean. I like dropping the room key into the slot when you leave the hotel and the staff will retrieve it upon your return. Breakfast is simple, it's semi-buffet so you get to choose (and change) your main course daily.
It’s an ideal location set back off the main road and providing clean comfortable accommodation with standard executive and suite rooms en-suite, daily housing and a basic breakfast. Friendly efficient staff and affordable prices. Ideal for …
Worst Hotel I have ever stayed with, staff behind counter are rude and yell at you, they also complain there card machine isn't working, so cash only. Used the mini bar, and they refused to charge my card, cash only. Please find other accommodation, there are much nicer hotels around the area, this hotel should really close down.
